Le Boat welcomes six brand new Horizon Plus boats, celebrates 5th anniversary of sailing the Rideau Canal, launches ownership program across North America and gears up to re-open for the 2022 season.
Le Boat, worldwide leaders in boat rental vacations, are excited to announce the addition of six new Horizon Plus boats arriving this week to the UNESCO World Heritage, Rideau Canal. The addition of these brand new boats brings Le Boat’s fleet to 30 boats in time for the 2022 season set to open on May 20, Victoria Day Long Weekend. It also coincides with the company’s 5th anniversary of sailing the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Rideau Canal in Ontario, Canada.
“We are so delighted to start our 2022 season with a much more positive outlook than we’ve had in previous years and the addition of the new Horizon Plus boats shows the amazing growth and continued interest we have had,” said Managing Director of Le Boat, Cheryl Brown. “With the worst of the pandemic hopefully behind us, travel confidence is steadily returning and bookings are flooding in once more. It feels so good to be preparing our boats and bases to open with more certainty.”
New Boat Features
The Horizon Plus models are identical in build, layout and quality to the standard Horizon fleet, however, have a few additional features to elevate the customer experience. The additional features of these brand new boats include hotel-quality mattresses with memory foam, premium cushions on the sun deck and smart TVs capable of streaming all your favourite streaming services.

Le Boat covers all the cost of boat maintenance, dockage, off season storage and provide ongoing maintenance and look after it like one of our own – at no extra cost to boat owners. Owners will enjoy 10 weeks of Cruising in both Canada & Europe each year and receive a return of six percent of the boat’s purchase value per month. Le Boat offers a guaranteed buy-back of 50 percent of the initial cost after a seven-year period, meaning that travellers know their exit value and options from the beginning.
